Dudley’s

When I had some time before my new job started, I made the most of my city. Each day, I picked a neighborhood and dug deep. July 30th was an LES day and when choosing where to get lunch, it didn’t take me long to find my way to Dudley’s.

Dudley’s is owned by the same folks as Ruby’s – a very regular spot when I lived in Murray Hill – so there’s some crossover between the menus. Not only did I know what I was getting, I knew it was going to be good.

I got myself a coffee and the avocado toast (with a mushroom add-on). This is a GREAT avo toast. The bread is thick and has the perfect chew and give. Radish and micro greens are great. I would have liked them to have put the mushrooms on top, but totes be real, they’d have fallen off anyway. Instead, I piled them on myself with each bite.

This is the kind of place where everyone will find something on the menu to enjoy. It’s got the vibe where you know you’ll see quite a few attractive people who verge on basic (but don’t worry aren’t fully basic), which is kinda how I’d describe the decor as well. It’s also right at the end of the shopping row that is Orchard street, so if you’re looking to do a full LES afternoon like me, this is an ideal place to start.
